How to install MySQL 8.4 on Ubuntu 24.04 Using the MySQL APT Repository

1、Download APT Repository

link: https://dev.mysql.com/downloads/repo/apt/

filename: mysql-apt-config_0.8.30-1_all.deb

upload this file to Ubuntu 24.04

2、Install MySQL 8.4

root@demo:~# dpkg -i mysql-apt-config_0.8.30-1_all.deb

3、Check

4、Install mysql-shell

root@demo:~# apt-get install mysql-shell

5、uninstall mysql

root@demo:~# apt-get remove mysql-server
root@demo:~# apt-get autoremove

root@demo:~# rm -fr /var/lib/mysql
root@demo:~# rm -fr /var/log/mysql
