We measure government engagement
through the number of AI-related policies
provincial and city government have
executed. Multiple cities located in the
same province receive the same score.
Unsurprisingly there is strong correlation
between the infrastructure score and the
government score even though each is
measured by different means, which
indicates that those cities active in
engaging with AI policy are also those
rolling out smart cities initiatives that
provide the backbone for AI research and
application.
