Abstract By the investigation of the inertial flip-flow screen structure advantages dynamic analysis was carried out on the
system of flip-flow screen
and the vibration equation including equivalent damping coefficient was established and solved. In
terms of the design parameters of the flip-flow screen the motion equation of fixed screen frame and floating screen frame was
obtained when equivalent damping exist and damping is zero. Besides based on this equation dynamics simulation of surface
of flip-flow screen was achieved successfully and the screen surface midpoint displacement velocity and acceleration was
obtained when damping ratio is 0 and 0.1 by using Implicit Non Linear Module of SAMCEF Field a non-linear finite element
software. The results showed that the great influence of equivalent damping had a great influence on acceleration of surface of
flip-flow screen the smaller damping is the more conducive to improving vibration intensity.
