Performance Considerations

Introduction

This document is intended to provide information, suggestions and website links to assist with

IBM Power Systems running in an Oracle Database 10g and 11g environment. The primary

focus is AIX with Oracle Database versions 10.2.0.4 and 11gR2. Power Systems concerns can

be minimized by following standard practices which applies to all POWER server generations.

The document also includes some information related to Oracle Real Application Clusters

(RAC).
