(57) Abstract: A kernel update method and apparatus (700), and a computer device (100). The computer device (100) executes the
kernel update method t o update a loadable kernel module i n the kernel. The method comprises: firstly, setting a first interface mapping
table t o b e invalid (S41 1), the invalid first interface mapping table enabling a n interface module t o stop sending a service request o f
a service application t o a drive logic o f a first drive logic module, s o that the first drive logic module suspends provision o f a drive
service t o the service application; then, replacing the first drive logic module i n the loadable kernel module into a second drive logic
module (S4 1 2); and i n a second interface mapping table, recording each interface i n the interface module and a drive logic i n the second
drive logic module corresponding t o the interface (S413). After the loadable kernel module i s updated, the second drive logic module
executes a drive logic o n a new service request forwarded b y the interface module according t o the second interface mapping table, and
accordingly, the provision o f a drive service t o the service application i s recovered.
